Crack of Dawn

by Trinity Rayne

As the sun sets in the sky darkness follows more and more
As people who went through darkness we all wonder when the sun will be back brighter than before
I myself wonder when things will be right again
I myself wonder when there will be light again
Then the sun rises and all is fine
As it rises all is beautiful and benign
Yes there are days you’re like the night sky with darkness and doom
And the darkness may stay awhile and loom
But there are also brighter days ahead
The sun will shine down on and wake the living dead
Even though we all may feel old weak and like we’re done
The sun is always on the horizon and no others like it not a one
Though the thought may be hard to conceive
The sun does come up eventually as long as you believe
Though life may sometimes seem as hard as a tusk
And may sometimes appear to be as dark as dusk
Just remember you have strength and can go on
And remember there’s always a sun that rises at the crack of dawn
