Loaded Gun

by Trinity Rayne

Do you ever feel like a gun that is loaded with feelings waiting to come out
Do you ever feel so loaded with unsaid things so much so you want to shout
Your feelings and words are like bullets flying at high speed that could pierce someone's heart
And once all is said and done you can't take it all back and then restart
But for the most part we keep our safety on
We don't want to hurt our loved ones and lose them until they're gone
Sometimes we decide that we can't just stay loaded
Our triggers get pulled and then we're pressured and goaded
Those who may be in the wrong place at the wrong time we may not mean to hurt
Then we may kill them slowly and watch them as they spirt
Those we love we may hurt badly and they end up in our crossfire
Then we end up hurting those that we most admire
Our words are like bullets that fly at high speed
Then we end up hurting those in our life we absolutely need
That's why our feelings just like loaded guns sometimes need to be put away
Those we truly love we want to see again and want them around to stay
Sometimes we keep our feelings to ourselves and stay like a loaded gun
We don't want to lose people we hold dear because going through loss is no fun
We stay like loaded guns to avoid mistakes we think we easily could have made
Because once words and bullets fly those on the other side their memories will never fade
We must be careful and not aim at those we really treasure
Because words and bullets can cause feelings of loss and displeasure
For the most part we stay a loaded gun and not cause others pain
We want to be careful so much so that we don't leave a stain
We just have to be careful at where to point and aim
Because like loaded guns we can be dangerous if we're toyed with in a mind game
Just like loaded guns we can both hurt those we love but we can also defend and protect
We stand up kill and take a bullet for those that we love and with who we connect
