Papaws Porch

by Trinity Rayne

As I laid there on Papaws porch all up in his arms
He kept me safe and warm from all of lifes harms
As I laid on Papaws porch snuggling him with glee
That moment was bliss with just him and me
My papaw is my buddy who has carried me around
I hated it when he put me back on the ground
I long for the days of innocence from when I was young
I long for Papaws porch where my little feet hung
My love for my Papaw burns hotter than a torch
For I will always long to sit on Papaws porch
