Ruins

by Trinity Rayne

You destroyed it all piece by piece to where our love now lays in ruins
I also let it happen too as I saw right through you as if youre translucent
It's old, weathered, and lays in complete shambles
We hurt each other alot by making too many gambles
All we can do is stray from what's familiar and let each other go
All we can do is set boundaries and build a ladder with our no
We've wanted to repair things but we can't even though we've wished
It no longer shines because it's too tarnished
Our love has been repeatedly hit
It became in ruins slowly bit by bit
We can each build a house out of our broken dreams
Living in it without each other's tortured soul screams
Even though all is in ruins it's not all lost
It's a whole new beginning even though our old life was cost
It's time we start over from scratch and move right along
Even though things are in ruins we can still stand strong
The broken promises we made went right out the door
But even ruins can be made into beautiful castles galore
