Up in Smoke

by Trinity Rayne

The dream of making amends with you went up in smoke
You couldn't handle my truthful words that I spoke
I've stopped dreaming and reality pinched me until I woke
The curse of living in that fantasy is forever broke
The dream of fixing things is forever gone
You couldn't handle that im no longer your pawn
Ive stopped sleeping and set foot into a new dawn
Its time we both move on
The dream of us being close was nothing more than a joke
You couldn't handle that I know who you really are behind the cloak
I've stopped tending the fire we had to stoke
It all turned to ash and went up in smoke
